Keeping up with the pace // Motherwell 4-0 Kilmarnock

Motherwell's home form has been remarkable this season, having not conceded a goal since October on home turf. Kilmarnock were the visitors, as they looked to close the gap to safety.  In a hectic first half, Kilmarnock did find the back of the net first through former Motherwell man Liam Polworth, but fortunately for the home side, the midfielder was in an offside position. Elijah Just compounded the Killie disappointment, as the Kiwi fired home the opener not long after. The game in theory ended as a contest when Killie's Lowery was sent off for a second yellow, with Tawanda Maswanhise blasting home his 16th goal of the season just seconds later. From there, it was all Motherwell, and Ibrahim Said and Lukas Fadinger added a third and a fourth in the second half, as the Steelmen keep up with the pace of those above.

December: Unbeaten Runs & Statement Victories

Motherwell entered the hectic winter schedule brimming with confidence and energy. Taking on Falkirk, Livingston, Dundee United, Dundee, Rangers and Celtic, it could be a season-defining month for the Steelmen. Extending their unbeaten run in the league to ten matches, going seven games in the league without conceding a goal and answering the critics who questioned whether the side were able to produce a statement win, the Motherwell squad continued to thrive. By the end of 2025, the feel-good factor had never been higher at Fir Park. And with January just around the corner, the successful December will have done the team no harm.

Our Scottish Cup campaign begins // Motherwell 1-0 Ross County

Motherwell faced Ross County in the fourth round of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup at Fir Park. Labelled as heavy favourites against the Championship side, Jens Berthel Askou rotated his starting 11 and handed starts to Academy duo Matty Connelly and Luca Ross. With Motherwell having over 70% of possession overall, it was largely one-way traffic for the duration of the game. The breakthrough arrived in the second half through Tawanda Maswanhise. That goal ensured no frustrations came to the surface for Motherwell, and although Connelly had to make a late stop to deny a County leveller, the tie and result were never really in doubt as the Steelmen go marching on in the Scottish Cup.
