Going Ten Unbeaten at Fir Park // Motherwell 1-1 Rangers

It was an eventful night down at Fir Park, as title challengers Rangers arrived in North Lanarkshire looking to keep the momentum driving forward in their charge to lift the league title.  Motherwell, however, had their own targets as they looked to stretch their unbeaten run at Fir Park to ten matches. With over 11,000 supporters inside the stadium under the lights, the visitors got off to the perfect start in the opening stages through Nicolas Raskin, who opened the scoring. The Belgian became the first opposition player to net at Fir Park since Scott Arfield for Falkirk back in October. But that early setback didn't knock the Steelmen's confidence, and they continued to push forward and threaten in front of goal. Emmanuel Longelo, Tawanda Maswanhise and Elijah Just all had major chances in the match, but when Lukas Fadinger was shown red for his challenge, the game looked like it could get away from Motherwell. With ten players, Motherwell became even stronger in the game, and in the final minute, Celtic loanee Stephen Welsh popped up with a wonderful moment of composure to score his first Motherwell goal on his first appearance since returning to the club. Fir Park was standing up and singing as Motherwell continued to seriously impress.

In total control // Livingston 0-2 Motherwell

Facing off against a side that hadn't picked up a win in 23 games was always going to pile the pressure on the Steelmen to pick up a result against Livingston, but manager Jens Berthel Askou wanted his side to go up a gear compared to their last visit to West Lothian.  Calum Ward was called into action in the opening minutes to pull off a wonderful save to deny Livi an opener. From then on, however, Motherwell clicked into action, and amongst a barrage of chances, Tawanda Maswanhise was able to score a brace to put Motherwell firmly in the driving seat. The second-half saw less action as the Steelmen controlled proceedings, ensuring their unbeaten run would continue in all competitions.

Keeping up with the pace // Motherwell 4-0 Kilmarnock

Motherwell's home form has been remarkable this season, having not conceded a goal since October on home turf. Kilmarnock were the visitors, as they looked to close the gap to safety.  In a hectic first half, Kilmarnock did find the back of the net first through former Motherwell man Liam Polworth, but fortunately for the home side, the midfielder was in an offside position. Elijah Just compounded the Killie disappointment, as the Kiwi fired home the opener not long after. The game in theory ended as a contest when Killie's Lowery was sent off for a second yellow, with Tawanda Maswanhise blasting home his 16th goal of the season just seconds later. From there, it was all Motherwell, and Ibrahim Said and Lukas Fadinger added a third and a fourth in the second half, as the Steelmen keep up with the pace of those above.
