Persistence gets us over the line // Motherwell 2-1 Peterhead

Jens Berthel Askou faced Peterhead in his first home match in charge, with the League One side travelling to Fir Park looking to cause an upset.  And they got off to the perfect start. Jack Brown raced through on goal before slotting past debutant Matty Connelly inside ten minutes. The new game model began to take shape and Motherwell controlled all of the ball and played the game in the Peterhead half. Emmanuel Longelo levelled the game, smashing into the top corner on his first start for the claret and amber. In the second-half, Peterhead dropped deeper and deeper, frustrating the hosts for large periods of the game. Just when it looked like the second goal wouldn't arrive, up popped Lukas Fadinger to get on the end of a special Callum Slattery cross in stoppage-time, to take the Steelmen onto five points in Group G.

Introducing our 2025/26 away kit

This is more than just a kit. It’s a story that embodies our community. Worn by the steelworkers themselves, on the site the entrance to the plant once stood, we introduce to you our 25/26 away kit. 🩵 bit.ly/4knprI3 Worn by the Ravenscraig workers themselves, on the site where the steelworks once stood, we introduce to you our 25/26 away kit. It was on the 28 July 1996 that our community suffered it's biggest loss to date. In just six seconds, livelihoods and a Lanarkshire landmark came crashing to the ground. After more than four decades, the iconic Ravenscraig Steelworks was demolished, leading to thousands unemployed. We honour our history with this season's away kit that features the British Steel logo on the jersey. Predominately light blue, the kit features a small drip of claret and amber on the collar and cuffs.
