After getting one over Aberdeen last weekend in the Granite City, and advancing to the Premier Sports Cup semi-final, Jens Berthel Askou and his Motherwell side were facing the same opposition again this weekend but on home turf. Aberdeen, who had been searching for their first win and goal of the league season, travelled down to North Lanarkshire and started brightly in the game. In wet conditions, neither side could convert their chances for the vast majority of the game. But despite the lack of goals, the home crowd remained loud and proud, acting as the 12th man. Fighting until the very end, stoppage time would bring about ample drama, resulting in Motherwell getting over the line to secure their first league win of the season.
