Dundee United were without their manager Jim Goodwin for the midweek trip to Fir Park, as he recovered following a spell in hospital. He watched on from home and saw his side reduced to ten men inside the first 20 minutes. Seb Palmer-Houlden, Alex Lowry and Dylan Levitt all scored their first goals for the club as Alfred Johansson's side showed a mixture of patience and quality all over the pitch to secure three points on home turf.
